Mini Me - Poetry
His eyes were blood red from the tears he cried
He shouldn't be seen like this, to stop crying he tried.
To no avail,
The letter he had gotten started all this, sent through his mail.
He didn't know he still loved him,
His father who had made him all proper and prim.
The moments they shared together flashed before his eyes,
He never thought this day would come, oh how time flies.
The last words he said to his dad was what pained him the most,
His cries got even louder as he wished he could send back an "Am sorry' through the same post.
It was too late though, his father was long gone,
He remembered the fight with his child that morning, took his keys, ran towards the door, held the child tight in his arm at school and wept saying "I am so sorry Son" -dadadupeola
