The anticipation is high as the crowd stare to see what and how it would all go down. They have no idea of the minutes, hours, weeks and months of hard work that has been put into place before the eventful day.

They are lined up in a roll, waiting for the whistle to go off. The first step that determines the end, the sweat rushing down ones pores as you race over the track; the complete silence around you when the whistle does go off, as everything around you becomes a silhouette. You can’t hear the cheering of the crowd or your heart pounding in your chest box...It all becomes bleak

Everything goes dark for awhile as your only goal is to get to the finish line first. Every runner has his own strategy, its either you are slow at the beginning and gain pace as you progress or you are fast at the beginning and slow down as you reach the finish line. Whatever your plans maybe, the goal is to get to the finish line and win that victory price.

The book of revelations explains to us in a remarkable story how Jesus revealed things to John through an angel. John was at that time incarcerated just because he proclaimed the word of God and the truth revealed by Jesus the Messiah. He tells us how on the Lord’s Day the spirit took him and he heard a loud voice which sounded like a trumpet speaking behind him. Giving us a vivid description of Christ; a human being standing among seven gold lamp stands wearing a robe that reached His feet and a gold band around His chest. His hair was white as wool or snow, His eyes blazed like fire, His feet shone like brass that has been refined and polished and his voice sounded like a roaring waterfall.

He held seven stars in His right hand and a sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth...which symbolized something. He eventually told John what the seven lamp stand and the seven stars stood for: they symbolize the seven angels and the seven churches.

The victory price awaits those that persevere; holding up till they reach the finish line. Never giving up despite the challenges they might encounter during the race. The huddles and the strain, the inability to breathe normally and the competition they must conquer.

This is good news for those that may ask questions just like the disciple asked Jesus “what is in it for me”. The victory price is worth more than silver or gold, it sounds more promising than a medal or a trophy.

To Ephesus: He will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the garden of God.

To Smyrna: They will not be hurt by the second death

To Pergamum: He will give the hidden manna and give each of them a white stone on which is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.

To Thyatira: He will give the same authority that He received from His father. He will give them authority over nations to rule them with an iron rod and break them to pieces like clay pots. He will also give them a morning star

To Sardis: They will be clothed in white, He will not remove their names in the book of the living and in the presence of His father and of His angels He will declare openly that they belong to Him.

To Laodicea; he will give the right to sit beside him on His throne, just as he has been victorious and now sit by His Father on His throne.

To Philadelphia: They will be pillars in the temple of His God and they will never leave it. He will write the name of His God and the name of the city of His God, the new Jerusalem which will come down out of heaven from His God. He will also write on them His new name.

Let him that have hears, then, listen...Spread the word, shine the light, the victory price awaits.

WHY???

WHY?

Its 5pm on Monday the 18^th of August 2014 and I just stare at a blank screen because I really don’t know what to write. There is so much to be written but the words are not just coming to my mind. The abduction of over 200 hundred girls in Chibok Nigeria is now over 100 days old and they haven’t been released, the outbreak of the Ebola virus is rocking the country and there is panic everywhere.

I sit and stare with nothing to write but with a lot of questions to ask, what is the role of a Christian at times like these? What can I do? In the midst of crisis the only way forward is to try and be calm,we need help.

There is chaos all around how do you know where to go? We need direction.

What content must you release out there? Is it that of fear or courage or simply just stay quiet and pretend that it’s not happening,we need understanding

I have thought deeply about what to write if I am ever going to talk about the insurgencies in the country, I have almost tried to avoid writing about it praying that it will just pass. Newsflash! It hasn't pass, it has even gotten worse.

The perfect example that comes to my mind is that of Jesus, He knew His time was near and He will soon be killed by the same people He came to die for. He knew what lay ahead of Him wasn't going to be pleasant, He knew He was going to be betrayed beaten, hung, nailed and left to die. He knew all these things but still persevered. The Lord’s Will was what was most important to him than anything else.

That was when it hit me; “the Lord’s will” is what is most important. In every situation, at all times, we must seek that His will be done.

If we do not know His will, His Spirit is there to guide us and align us to His exact will for our lives. That spirit is the help we need, the direction we deserve and the understanding we yearn for.

The Lord’s will for Jesus was for Him to come and die for our sins. Note that there was a purpose. No matter how hard this was for Jesus to bear, trust me, it got really tough. Jesus still maintained that God’s will is greater than His desires. So if the most unpleasant happens and it is the Lord’s will, then let it be. Easy for me to say right!

Was it fair that Jesus had to be stoned, hung, nailed and killed? No, it wasn't...But it was the Lord’s will for it to happen like that. Did his mother, his disciples and all believers at that time think it was pleasant for their saviour to be killed like an animal? No, I am sure they felt so bitter, they might have even asked God questions like “why did He allow something that gruesome happen to Christ” just like we ask questions like” why were those girls abducted” or “why has the Ebola virus come into the country” or “why can’t I have children” or “why am I so poor” or “why did my love one have to die”.

Well, I am not writing to give answers to the entire “why” questions. I am writing to point out the place of a Christian when the entire “why” questions pop up.

Eventually, if Christ had not died like an animal-stripped, betrayed, beaten, nailed and left to die. Our sins would not have been forgiven. There will be no one worthy to break the seal on the last day, no one fit to seat at the right hand of God the Father and solicit on our behalf as the high priest. We would have been lost to sin eternally, no forgiveness, no redemption. Nothing!

But that wasn't God’s will, God’s will was for us to be saved and if that meant releasing His only begotten son to come as a man and die like an animal. Then so be it!

Christians have to know that they must carry their cross if they intend to follow Christ, there are no promises of pleasantries, no assurance of perfection and no guarantee that their lives won’t go through trials and tribulation.

The good news is that God’s Will eventually gives an expected end. His thoughts for us are always that of good and not of evil. He knows what is best for us because He created us and formed us in His own image and likeness. He knows our future; He will never allow anything to happen that is not aligned with His will.

That is the place of a Christian at times like these, always asking that the Lord’s will be done in every situation. Always praying that the Holy Spirit be with us to help, direct and give us understanding.

At times like these we must be sensitive about the words that come out of our mouths.  If they are not words of hope, they shouldn't be spoken at all...

Heart Break Hotel -My Memoir

         

 

Welcome everyone! This is the place where we all go to for solace. Especially when our hearts has been sliced into two by someone we loved so dearly we didn't even see the knife coming...Traitor!
Not everyone has been to this hotel though; I call them the lucky few. Or should I call it grace? I really don’t know where to classify them under and I don’t care either because this write up is not for miss-i–have-never-been-heartbroken-before... raised eyebrows. Instead, this write up is for all those that have been betrayed, lied to, cheated on, insulted, abused, violated and left to lick up all these wounds all by themselves. If you fit in this category, please read on my dear.

I am writing this piece because i have logged in this place for quite a number of times, I know almost every route in getting here and have visited almost all the rooms it has in it...Let me share a little with you because now we are best friends as we have something in common that binds us together.

My first experience was when I was cheated on. My goodness, all hell broke loose as I felt so betrayed, it cut deep into my self esteem and left me scarred for a very long time so I really thought that that was the worst that could ever happen... Bla! I was naive.Little did I know that cheating was just the tip of it, the next would be emotional abuse. The person in question used my emotions to insult me so deeply that I cry myself to sleep most nights afterwards because he made me feel like a weakling and worthless. But that was no match for the third time I visited the heartbreak hotel, this time the person involved was so manipulating, I almost didn't think for myself the whole time we dated.It was just one roller coaster ride to another, from boys not picking up my calls anymore after an awesome date out to boys just avoiding me completely after we have both concluded that we liked each other.

Moving from one bad experience to another drove me deep into this hotel that an inscription of my name will almost be seen on every wall and bathroom inclusive...that was where I do most of my crying.

I have come to realize and have concluded with my little but painful experiences that killing oneself or driving a knife through ones wrist or running mad...which is the craziest most popular tactics among African's queens...ARE NOT JUST WORTH IT!

Believe me; you have to get to that point where you decide never again to allow people that are hateful to turn you on yourself. You have to be strong, wave the dust off your shoulder by taking as long as you want to heal, cry it all out as it will help you feel better. Find something you love and do it till it bores you out...For me its writing. You could also find someone random you can tell it all to that doesn't know you enough to judge you or someone who knows you better than you know yourself and who will heal you from the inside out...That's Jesus. This is all part of the healing process, the more you talk about it the better you heal.

 Finally, look beautiful as always. Don’t ever let you go. You have to be hopeful and be prepared for the next relationship because not all will be bad; some will turn out good or great. Therefore, you have to be prepared for it when it comes and not give any excuses not to let it happen.

The heart break hotel is a place to spend the night not all day, so by morning, ensure you check out of there as soon as you wake up! Once you walk out of its doors, please leave your past behind as much as possible and breath the fresh air of the future because no matter what happens, remember that nights have never ever lasted for eternity, it will always give way to the mornings.So take advantage of this fact and spread the word, shine your light because you are beautiful....

Hope it is not too late to apologize??

Ok, am so sorry i haven't written anything for awhile but i have very good reasons why. I have been trying had to gain experience in life so that i can really have something juicy to write about. It is 2014 and i have already had my own fair share of tests and testimonies. I cant wait to share them with you but first, i must say that its great having to start blogging again. I just hope this time, i can be more motivating than i was last year. God has been faithful, despite my unfaithfulness and i just love to talk about Him and give all the glory back to Him because, He alone deserves my praise. Have a Happy Day! Share the word! My 2013 Closing Remark

                    My 2013 Closing Remark

This is the last day of the month of December and the last day of the year 2013, its a good day the Lord has made, we should rejoice and be glad in it especially because we are alive to witness today. As we approach a new year, it should be a time to ponder and really think of what we want out of the coming year and how we would want it to turn out.

We are prophets of our own selves and therefore we have the ability to speak into what we want and how we want it to be, finishing it up by asking God to give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding so that what we ask for is what He wants us to have.

Its not a joke that time waits for no one but its sure funny to note that we all have time to set things right, as long as we are alive, we have all the time in the world to make plans, develop ourselves and make our future much better. We have time to correct our mistakes if we can and not avoid them, apologize to those that we have hurt in 2013, have mercy on those that have hurt us in anyway and reconsider those action that we know will not do anyone good or bring glory to God.

We must remember that we have choices and we must make them irrespective of how hard they may seem but most importantly we remember that the choice we make affects the pattern our lives follow.

Let us enter this new year with hope and faith that as long as you have God, and because Jesus lives, you can face 2014 and the events that follows it. No fear or worries because whether good or bad, it doesn't mean that you won't pull through it.

Sin is the problem of the world-my pastor always says- not corruption, discrimination, greed, anger, murder or poverty but Sin...

If we would like to have a better world, then we must destroy sin and our sinful nature, we can only achieve this by giving our lives to the only one who has no sin in Him...Jesus Christ- Ask him to forgive our past and give us a new future in Him.

Remember even when you start to backslide that you have the power to be righteous, ask for grace and you will get it in Jesus name.

I thank God for  the opportunity of this blog, He used me as an instrument and am glad i allowed myself to become a vessel . I am happy every time i write but i try to write words that exhort and lift one's spirit, gives us hope and assures us that we are not alone in this journey nor are we helpless in this battle for our souls.

The Lord’s faithfulness even in our unfaithfulness shows just how great His love is because being alive to see the end of 2013 is a testimony. Alot of people don't know the battle that happens each second for our lives to be preserved spiritually that manifests in the physical realm. We are unseeingly unaware of the entities that protect us daily.

Angels guarding us, directing us ensuring that every second of our lives is under protection from evil and ourselves. It’s unfortunate that some people have not come to the understanding that the world is more spiritual than physical. Our emotions, thoughts, and actions are all products of our spirit being than the physical. Man is a spirit being living in a physical body is the truth that cannot be disputed.

If only we could see, what we really look like in the spirit. Most of us are grown and mature on the outside but when in the spirit, we are still babies and we probably have been babies all our lives without even seeking to grow. Everything is controlled in the spiritual,that is why some individuals who have understanding of this misuse this information by tampering with the spiritual; offering blood sacrifices, practicing occult and so on. They are fully aware of the fact that the spiritual most definitely controls the physical.

Powers beyond our imagination exist in the spiritual, sometimes they manifest in the physical in our shallow view we tag it extra-terrestrial but its more terrestrial than we know it.  Only if our eyes of understanding were opened.

What made Elijah call fire from heaven, what made Moses turn a stick into a snake, what made Paul and Silas not get burned in the fire, what made Jesus turn water to wine and what exactly made Him die and resurrect after three days? These are all unexplained acts in the physical but they very much have its meaning in the spiritual.

We are more spirit than physical, once you have that understanding you would begin to have a good idea of how things work the way they do, why people act the way they do and why things happen the way they do.

When you have problems in the physical that are unexplained, they always have a solution in the spiritual, an explanation of some sort that clearly defines the situation you are in and helps you tackle it accordingly.

We are never alone, we are all influenced by the spiritual in our thoughts, words and actions. That is why psychologist can explain some things due to some certain patterns they have seen overtime but they cannot explain what brings about the pattern in the first place. Why do people commit suicide, why do people become serial killers...There are explainable patterns to every attitude but what exactly is responsible for those patterns are usually not physically explainable but the spirit realm has all the answers.

Scientist have tried their best to define most things but try as they might they will never be able to explain some things because they have a myopic view of how things really are. No explanation starts from the physical, if it does why hasn't anyone explained how a child turns from a sperm to a human being, how the child survives in the womb or explain exactly why they can’t yet clone a human being. 

Let's not deceive ourselves or live in denial, this world is more spiritual than physical. The earlier we start to live our lives maturing in the spirit more than we do strive to do in the physical, the better our lives on Earth and our afterlives will be.

Yes, am still blogging...Its the perfect way to end the year, telling the world what the Lord has done, giving Him all the glory and confirming His faithfulness... In exactly sixteen days from now,-its 8 days now  as i wrote this initially on the 15th-  the year 2013 comes to an end. I have never been so grateful i am a Christian than i was this year because as i look back remembering the challenges i encountered, i know without a doubt that i didn't see myself through it alone. I had some sort of overly spiritual help that seems like its not there but it's always there waiting, watching, willing to help, ready to win and eager to tak all the glory.

The most depressing situation i had to pull through this year was when i was disobedient, i had been born again and old things were supposed to be past away and all things were expected to become new. I went back to my old ways just a little bit. I had a guilty pleasure that i couldn't help resist the temptation when it came. I knew it was wrong but i couldn't seem to find the strength to avoid it or Flee!

Within months i started to reap the rewards, i was slowly but surely backsliding and i started to become uneasy. The rewards when it finally came was too much for me to bear, i was overpowered by forces my physical nature couldn't overpower and to make it worse, i was told i was sick. That was all i could bear, i could  take the shame, the despair, the possible regret but i couldn't bear to stand the sickness..

I decided to fight back, i knew where all the emotions and pains were coming from. i knew where i had gone wrong and thank God i was spiritually mature enough to know how to deal with the problem.

The first thing i did was to go for deliverance, i wanted to be sure that when i approached the feet of the Lord, i was doing it with a clean and clear heart. I confessed my sins to the Lord who is so merciful and i went into a spiritual battle to regain my health.

I was depressed most of the time all this was happening, it wasn't an easy thing to overcome because the more i prophesied health to my body, the more i became sick. I had to seek the face of the Lord, i knew i was disobedient and probably didn't deserve to be delivered but, i knew that the thoughts the Lord had for me was for good and not of evil, i knew the Lord wasn't the one that makes people sick- it was solely the Devil's doing- The devil uses your sins against you, steals something precious from you-mine was my health- destroys you through what he has stolen and finally, he kills you. I couldn't let that happen, i was still in the first stage of him stealing my health-that was just my physical body, i was still very health spiritually, i couldn't possibly allow him advance to destroying me through it- so i fought the only way i knew how.

I renewed my lost relationship with the Holy Spirit, i started to read the Bible and prophesy using the words i saw. I confessed my sins to God and asked Him to be merciful upon me, acknowledging that i was wrong but what i wanted most of all was the Lord's will to be done. If it was His will for me to remain sick and He still gets the glory,then, so be it. But if not, i was willing to follow Him to the latter to get rid of this illness so that i could brag about it and He can take all the Glory.


The hardest thing was making sure i didn't succumb to my present reality, my reality reminded me i was sick but spiritually i was healed. It was only a matter of time before the physical paved way for the spiritual.

It wasn't easy, but it was worth the exercise, because as i write, i am completely healed, hail and healthy. It wasn't because i knew all the biblical scriptures or because i am special in any way. It was only through the grace of God, that grace gave me the zeal to fight and to win that battle, that grace was made available even when i didn't deserve it.

This is one test of several others i experienced this year, the testimonies is what makes me a winner. Victorious over battles that comes my way. There will be other more challenging situations,  i know...I will handleit a situation at a time. These challenges only makes me stronger, confirms i did the right thing by giving my life to Christ and finally, it gives me something to brag about... Am so grateful! To God be the glory

“DREAMCHICK”

“DREAMCHICK”

She is not a newly hatched bird but a young woman with super special dreaming powers. She realized just how special they were when every time she dreamed of a particular thing for too long, it comes to past-FOR REAL. Not by magic but by efforts put in place by her every day to fulfilling what she had imagined. She had used her dreams to fashion out the way her reality looks like and it was always so real that it’s quite unfortunate no one else sees it except her, always there pictured in her mind waiting to get its expression in reality.

 Seeing a dream come to life gave her purpose and that purpose drives her every day, some people admire her for it while some others criticize her deeply but despite all the critic and admiration- nobody has ever stopped her from dreaming because she is the only one that decides if those dreams come to life or not.

She has a choice every day when she wakes up to either start from where she left off or abandon it and give up on all that she had imagined so far because when a dream that is fought for is fulfilled, it always isn’t only her that reap the rewards, it always affect everyone around her positively- so why should she stop dreaming?

She has also come to realize that the challenges that try to stop her dreams are huddles she must climb to reach her fulfillment, some of them are low while others can be really high. That’s why she doesn’t go through it alone- She has the Holy Trinity-God “the Father, God “the Son”, God “the Holy Ghost. Three in one mighty super heroes with powers greater than her dreams ever there with her always as she needs help to fulfilling her dreams, help that directs her super dreaming powers positively so that it brings peace and not destruction, joy and not pain, change and not stagnancy.

Once you have given your life to Christ, you must begin to dream bigger. Far beyond the life you now have but into eternity- the life you have been guaranteed to possess. How do you intend to spend eternity? Dream it! Let that drive you with every breath you have, asking the “Holy Trinity” who have given you power not of fear but of love and a sound mind to dream beyond your physical abilities and help you every step of the way to fulfill it. They will not only align your dreams with Their thoughts-which are good and not of evil that you may have a future- but also direct your path into eternity to spend it with Them by Their right side forever more.

Where are the dreamers of today? You will find them on top, flying in the sky with their awesome dreaming powers. Even when they are down, they never always stay down because they never stop dreaming, which plunges them back up, never limiting them to their present situations but stretching them out far beyond the future. Their dreams always come to past eventually and in most cases out live them-they are the World’s Greatest.

If you are courageous enough to dream it, you will be strong enough to achieve it. Anyone can steal everything from you, but no one can ever take your dreams.

Ever wonder what your will to live is, why you still have life in you? It’s because your dreams are yet to come true- super dreaming hero, your cloak is your body and your powers come from your mind. Therefore, guard it with all your might because through it flows the issues of life.

The God that parted the red sea for the Israelites to walk through is still able to do exceedingly more than you can ever think or imagine. So don’t give up on your dreams and don’t ever give up on God.

I am the “DreamChick” and my dream is to live a life of dominion and multiplication on Earth and an eternity victorious and filled with praise at the right side of God. I’m a dreamer…I Spread the Word! I shine my light!
