-IN MEMORY OF SEPTEMBER 11-

            -IN MEMORY OF SEPTEMBER 11-

Okay!okay! So it was my birthday 6days ago...Yes, I was born on september 11 and I think it’s not a coincidence that I have to always celebrate life the day in history most people remember lives....September to Remember

A quick biography: It all happened more than 20years ago, my mum and dad were recovering from the escapade of having two children back to back with only 6months in between them. My mum had a miscarriage and everyone thought it was good news because my dad didn’t want more children.

So my mummy assumed that was the end of her child bearing days only for her to feel feverish one beautiful morning in July, 7months after her miscarriage. She went straight to the hospital and demanded to know what was wrong with her.I am pretty sure she would have being more relieved if they had told her she had a disease compared to the news she got about being 7months pregnant with a girl child.

She was in shock for most of that day. Not only because she wondered how possible it was that she didn’t even feel a thing throughout the seven months. Her tummy didn’t grow unusually big, no signs at all...Her major worry was how she was going to tell my daddy she was 7months pregnant and didn’t know about it until that day.

Oh Well, just like she expected...My daddy threw a fist. Trust me my daddy turned out to be the best dad in the world. I can just imagine what that meant to him at the moment. He was in total despair, thinking of the financial implication of the news he had just heard.

So he did what seemed right at that moment, he sent my mum packing from the house and claimed the child wasn’t his.
My mummy headed for her mum’s place-my grandma- and stayed there until I was one year old.

I know...That long? Yes, not until I was the carbon copy of my daddy did he believe that I was real.My mummy always says that I have never given her problems, not during pregnancy or at birth...The story of my birth is much more entertaining, I don’t mind sharing it with you.

On a faithful Thursday morning on the 11th of September so many years ago...Yes, I am that old... My mummy who was nine months and heavily pregnant with a female child wanted to use the toilet like she usually does every time she was pressed. But this time was different. I slipped out of her instead of the urine...hehehehe

To God be the glory my mummy was observant enough to notice that something was slipping out of her so she moved slightly away from the toilet bowl and the baby-That’s me- slid perfectly into her arms.

She had to call the neighbours from the bathroom for help in cutting the umbilical cord and cleaning for the child who she claimed was so beautiful, science could not explain the mystery of me not having any deformities due to lack of medications in my early years.

Everybody has a story to tell. Everything happens for a reason, I was preserved for a reason. A miracle child, I was called but I turned out to be ordinary...no special powers attached to this body.

The only thing different in me is that I met God along the way, that changed my status from ordinary to extra ordinary. He was the one that preserved me in the first place because He had a purpose for me. All I had to do was acknowledge that He is God and bam! My purpose was activated once more.

I am very delightful that God has deemed me fit to be alive today as everyday is a blessing, a present underserved if not for grace. I am so sorry that such a tragedy happened on that very day in 2001 but we must always remember that everything has a purpose, we must ask God for wisdom to be aligned to His purpose/will for our lives and accept it as good and not evil...This is tough to understand but as we grow in the Christain faith we will ask ourselves that will we only accept good from God and not bad. What we see as bad in our eyes to God might be the best thing.

So as long as He gives me life, I will continually talk about Him and try my best in spreading the word and shining the light. #PraiseGod
